Chistmas at The Stanises

I volunteered to prepare Christmas Dinner for our friends, Jim and Anita Stanis and their guests. Here's what we had Chistmas Day.

  • Appetizer
    • Pizza Carnivale - The pie my Mother used to make only at Mardi Gras and Easter. A flaky pie crust filled with Ricotta, Mozzarella, Sausage, and this time, Pepperoni (I usually use Genoa Salami).
    • Alsatian Onion tart - Homemade Puff Pastry round, topped with Onions cooked in Chicken  Stock and Bacon.

    • Fruit Stuffed Pork Loin Roast with Sauce Dianna
    • Warm German Potato Salad
    • Wine Poached Honey-Rosemary Carrots

  • Dessert
    • Paris Brest - A Choux Paste ring, filled with Dark Chocolate Mousse and Creme Chantilly, dusted with powdered sugar and grated chocolate.
